Iguazu Falls (Garganta del Diablo) Guide
The Devil's Throat: Where Nature Roars Guide
Prepare to be humbled by the sheer power and immensity of the Garganta del Diablo, or Devil's Throat, the largest and most iconic waterfall within the Iguazu Falls system. This horseshoe-shaped cataract is where the majority of the Iguazu River's water plunges, creating a deafening roar and a mesmerizing spectacle of mist and rainbows. It's an experience that will leave you in awe of nature's raw force. The Devil's Throat is accessible from the Argentinian side of Iguazu Falls. A network of walkways and bridges leads you directly over the Iguazu River, bringing you closer and closer to the thundering cascade. The anticipation builds as you walk, the roar growing louder with each step, until you finally reach the viewing platform perched right at the edge of the falls. The primary activity at the Devil's Throat is simply to witness its breathtaking power. Stand on the viewing platform and feel the spray on your face as millions of gallons of water crash down into the abyss below. Capture photos and videos of the swirling mist, the vibrant rainbows, and the sheer scale of the falls. The experience is truly unforgettable. To reach the Devil's Throat, you'll need to take the Tren de la Selva (Jungle Train) from the Central Station within the Iguazu National Park.
