Mombo Camp: Where Luxury Meets Untamed Wilderness Guide
Welcome to Mombo Camp, a sanctuary of unparalleled luxury nestled in the heart of Botswana's Okavango Delta. This isn't just a safari; it's an immersion into a world teeming with wildlife, where every detail is meticulously crafted to provide an unforgettable experience. Prepare to be captivated by the sheer abundance of predators and prey, all while enjoying the utmost comfort and personalized service. Mombo Camp offers an exclusive and intimate encounter with the African bush, leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime. Mombo Camp's location within the Moremi Game Reserve is historically significant. The area has long been recognized as a prime wildlife haven, attracting conservation efforts and researchers for decades. The camp itself is built on Chief's Island, a large landmass within the delta, and its presence contributes to the ongoing protection and preservation of this vital ecosystem. The camp's commitment to sustainable tourism ensures that its impact on the environment is minimized, allowing future generations to enjoy the same incredible wildlife experiences. At Mombo Camp, the focus is on exceptional game viewing. Activities include daily game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, led by expert guides who possess an encyclopedic knowledge of the local flora and fauna. You'll have the opportunity to witness the "Mombo Pride" of lions in action, track leopards through the bush, and observe the graceful movements of giraffes and elephants. For a truly unique perspective, consider a hot air balloon safari over the delta (often arranged separately), offering breathtaking panoramic views of the landscape and its inhabitants. The camp also offers walking safaris for a more intimate connection with the environment.
Transportation
Mombo Camp is accessible only by light aircraft transfer from Maun Airport (MUB) or Kasane Airport (BBK). These flights are typically arranged by the camp as part of your safari package. The flight time from Maun is approximately 20-30 minutes. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you'll be met by camp staff and transferred to the camp in a safari vehicle.
