Transportation
Peyto Lake is accessible via the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93 N). From Banff, drive approximately 40 kilometers north on the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) to the Icefields Parkway interchange. Then, head north on the Icefields Parkway for about 50 kilometers. The Bow Summit parking lot, where the Peyto Lake viewpoint is located, will be on your left. During peak season (summer), the parking lot can get very crowded. Consider arriving early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the biggest crowds. There is no public transportation directly to Peyto Lake.
