Air Sanih Natural Spring Guide
Air Sanih: A Refreshing Oasis by the Sea Guide
Air Sanih, also known as Yeh Sanih, is a natural freshwater spring located right on the coast near Singaraja in northern Bali. This unique attraction offers a refreshing escape from the tropical heat and a chance to experience the natural beauty of Bali. The spring water is believed to originate from an underground river flowing from Lake Tamblingan, one of Bali's sacred lakes high in the mountains. It's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike to swim, relax, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. The history of Air Sanih is intertwined with local folklore and beliefs. The spring is considered sacred by the Balinese people, who believe that its waters possess healing properties. For generations, locals have come to Air Sanih to bathe and purify themselves. The spring has been developed into a public swimming pool complex, but the original natural spring remains a central feature. The surrounding area is well-maintained and offers a peaceful setting for relaxation. At Air Sanih, you can swim in the cool, crystal-clear spring water. There are separate pools for adults and children. You can also relax on the sun loungers by the pool and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery. The nearby beach offers opportunities for sunbathing and swimming in the sea. Several small warungs (restaurants) are located around Air Sanih, offering a variety of local Balinese dishes and refreshing drinks. Try the grilled fish or seafood, which is a local specialty.
