Transportation
During peak season (typically summer and some holidays), access to the Lakes of Covadonga by private car is restricted. Visitors must park in designated parking areas further down the mountain and take a shuttle bus (usually a paid service) to the lakes. Outside of peak season, private car access may be permitted, but it's always best to check current regulations before traveling. From Cangas de Onís, take the CO-4 road towards Covadonga. Follow signs for the Lakes of Covadonga and the designated parking areas.
