No Name Pub Guide
No Name Pub: A Quirky Slice of Old Florida Guide
Escape the ordinary and step into the No Name Pub, a legendary watering hole nestled in the heart of Big Pine Key. This isn't your typical tourist trap; it's a genuine piece of Old Florida charm, known for its quirky atmosphere, delicious pizza, and walls plastered with dollar bills left by patrons over the decades. Prepare for a unique and unforgettable experience that captures the spirit of the Florida Keys. The No Name Pub's history is as colorful as its decor. Originally opened in 1931 as a general store and bait and tackle shop, it obtained a beer and wine license in 1936 and officially became a pub. Legend has it that the name "No Name Pub" came about because the owners couldn't agree on a name! The dollar bills, a tradition started in the 1950s, began as a way for patrons to ensure they had a drink waiting for them upon their return. Over time, it evolved into the pub's signature feature, creating a truly unique and visually stunning environment. Beyond soaking in the atmosphere, visitors can enjoy a range of activities. Of course, sampling their famous pizza is a must! They also offer a full menu of pub fare. Spend some time adding your own dollar bill to the walls (staples are provided!), browse the quirky merchandise, and simply relax and enjoy the laid-back Keys vibe. The pub is a great place to meet locals and fellow travelers, sharing stories and creating lasting memories.
