Celestial Seasonings was founded in Boulder in 1969 by Mo Siegel and John Hay. Inspired by the abundance of wild herbs in the Rocky Mountains, they began harvesting and blending their own teas. Their innovative approach to tea-making, using natural ingredients and unique flavor combinations, quickly gained popularity. Today, Celestial Seasonings is a leading herbal tea company, known for its commitment to quality and sustainability. At the Celestial Seasonings Tea Factory, you can take a free guided tour that will take you through the entire tea-making process, from the herb gardens to the blending and packaging facilities. Prepare to be overwhelmed by the intense aromas in the Mint Room, a legendary space filled with peppermint. After the tour, you can sample a variety of Celestial Seasonings teas in the tasting room and browse the gift shop for tea-related souvenirs. The Celestial Seasonings cafe offers a selection of light meals and snacks, as well as a variety of tea-infused treats.
